About
Jayme Horne is a Boston-based artist and art historian. His artworks explore intersectional queer identity through narrative painting that reclaims and recodes symbols and icons. Originally interested in Catholic imagery, Jayme has since transitioned into incorporating pop and horror icons into his artworks.
His art historical work focuses on ancient Indigenous American art, particularly Maya art, with an interest in depictions of ambiguously gendered figures from the Maya Classic Period (ca. 200-900 CE).
He graduated in 2018 from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design with departmental and academic honors, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts dual degree in Painting and History of Art. He graduated from Lindenwood University in 2026, earning his Master of Arts in Art History and Visual Culture.
